Description

Peruvian flute, also known as the “Quena” (from Quechua qina) is a wind instrument, used
in a traditional way by the inhabitants of the central Andes. Its origin and development
correspond to pre-Columbian Andean societies. Bone, clay, gourd and metal quenas were
used in ancient Peru and are found in the Amazon basin to the Guianas.
